Anyone know roughly how much it would cost to screed my kitchen and hall floor? Kitchen is 3m x 5m and the hall is 1.5m x 3m.
Needing to tile through but the floors are unlevel by more than 15mm in places and need a reasonably level floor to tile onto and I don't thing self leveling compound would cope with such large variations.

I'm in the north west if that's a factor and it would already have the old screed floor removed.

If i'm reading your post right i think you will need to build up self levelling as (i think) screed should be 60mm thick at least to stop it breaking up !!

I'd say allow a day for a local plasterer and their mate to lift and dispose of the existing screed then mix up and lay a new sand/cement screed - say £250ish.

If you lift and dispose of the existing floor then allow a day for a local plasterer - say £150ish.

Sounds like a 'one-day' job either way.

Wickes do a high build self level which I think is perfectly happy at 15mm.

Most latex screeds will sort that no problem, providing the floor is sound with no contaminants or dampness etc, A decent floorlayer should be done in a morning and charge you about £100-£150 (labour only), I'd do it for you if I were nearer your area! thumbup
