Im looking to convert my lean-to into a office/summer room and replace the roof with a 25mm Polycarbonate roof. The area is only about 6 sq M so not massive.

But do I go CLEAR - maximum light but also let more heat in

or OPAL - reduced light and reduced heat.

Clear is a no-no , opal is better , heatguard is the best , grey outside heat reflective and white opal inside.

The heatguard makes the conservatory / lean to much more usable if the sun is shining on the roof for any length of time. If it's alwyays in the shade opal will be fine.

I went with Opal on my lean-to and am really pleased with it. It still lets in plenty of light but no sun glare and makes it look more like a proper room.
