Had some new doors and patio doors fitted in jan but they now don't close properly seems like they simply need a slight adjustment but how do I do this?

One door is catching on the bottom the furthest point from the hinge. The other is a French patio doors and that appears to be catching at the highest point between the two doors.

I've never done it and I'm sure it's a simple fix

The simplest way is to call the company or person that fitted them and ask them to adjust them ,it's usually free as part of the aftersales service the company should provide

It is an easy process but typing out the step by step instructions would take longer than actually doing it

If you really want to do it yourself look on youtube for vids relating to ' toe and heel upvc door' or how to adjust the hinges on a upvc door , should throw some light on the subject

Have a look at the hinges with the doors open, might be some screws/bolts to push/pull out/in. Might have plastic covers/slip overs that need removing. If this has only just happened in the hot weather - as UPVC expands a lot, the problem might vanish again when things cool off. Of course the doors may have been so badly fitted (frame twisted or out of square) that you won't be able to get a decent adjustment. Edit to say, yes as others have, if the glass hasn't been packed to heel and toe, the doors themselves might have sagged/gone out of square - easy to check diagonals to see if square still. Any major issues - get the installer back.

If you've never seen it done get them back to sort it, it's not as easy as one thinks.

You have to "pop" the glazing bars out pack out the frame in the right position, and reassemble unless you "know how" putting back the glazing bars can be a pain in the arriss.

Lots of info on Google, either can be done through adjusting hinges or by "toeing and heeling"
