I'm currently using Blakemores who are in Brum for our sale and purchase. Seem pretty good so far and get regular text messages and emails of progress.

I used the same for a house sale and they were, how shall I put it, well lets say they told me that we had completed and yet 6 days later we still didn't have the cash in our account. Thats right, no house, no cash, no communication etc.

I had their Director of Quality on and they gave me a 20% refund on the sale bill and she offered to do my purchase personally with a massive/ huge/ mega discount.

She seemed very put out when I told her that I would be using a local solicitor and wouldn't touch her outfit with a bargepole. Even if she did it for free.

Of course other experiences of Conveyancing factories may vary.

Cheers,

Tony

I can recommend premier property lawyers (Leicester based)

have been excellent on our current sale and purchase (same person dealing with both cases so things happen quickly)

not sure about web tracking but they email text and call me all the time to update me.

Why does ithave to be a midlands based firm? once you have a good one, stick to them! rather then using the conveyancing factories.
