To be more specific, there are hundreds of them in the waterfall, looks like they are "sucking" onto the surface. They are black, about 3mm long, an look like tiny tadpoles.
What are they, and will they harm the fish, water?
Cheers

p.s. I will get pics when I can, but my memory card is suddenly telling me it can not be read??

Sounds like some kind of larvea, mosquito that type of thing, nothing to worry about.

Oh yes, could well be. In which case the fish will scoff them given half a chance.

If you mean they are hanging down from the water surface (breathing tube)? If they swim off in a flicky figure-8 type movement, then it sounds like a malaria farm (mosquito larvae).

Shizen!!! It appears that they are attached to the waterfall feature and are just laying on the waterfall surface

They're quite harmless, just annoying when they hatch and nip you or whine all night in the bedroom.

They look like leeches but the pics aren't very good. They'll die or be eaten.

Micro salmon, making their way upstream to breed. Any minute now the micro bears will turn up to eat them.

They're going to grow in big out-of-focus thingies.

Although it looks like they are 'swimming upstream' they are actually stationary, and attached like suckers.
I also just discovered that if I touch them, they curl up into little balls.
