Anyone else got one of these?
I got one a couple of months ago, for the little one to play in mainly, but you know what, it is really good! £300 at Homebase, I got it on 10% day, £35 for a chemical kit. Water last's 3-4 weeks before it needs a change, gets up to 40degrees C, and is a load of fun for the money.
I'd not spend £3k on one, but for 300 notes, I reckon it is worth a punt. We have it set up on a little deck on the patio, by the office window, so we can have music and TV through the office window. Although bought as a weekend thing really, we've been in it every night bar 3 in the last 6 weeks.
We've christened it the "Pike Y Spa", but it's great fun.

In my mind, a heated and filtered pool that only costs £300 and doesn't actually fry you dead is decent value for money!
Seriously though, ours has been fine and it works really well. And watching movies from in the tub at 1030 at night is great.

Glad to hear some positive comments about these as the reviews seem to be quite negative about reliability. May be looking to take the plunge (dum dum cha!!!! 
) in a few weeks so what are the day to day running costs like for keeping it warm and do you need to keep it plugged in to retain the heat? If you have to wait a few hours each time you want to use it I'm not sure if it would be worth it for me but if you can jump straight in I may be sold.

They seem to stay at 35 degrees pretty easily. I've not noticed a huge increase in the bill, but if I use it in winter, maybe.
I put it on a think deck with some Celotex (50mm) under it, to help insulation. When I emptied it this weekend, I left it all turned off for 24 hours and it dropped from 35degrees to 28 in that time. I was pretty impressed.
Also, a good tip is when emptying it out, leave the water without adding the daily chlorine for about 36hours, then bubble it for about 20 mins, and you can use the water to water plants and lawn, the chlorine will be insignificant.
If you get one, get a clearwater chemical kit BEFORE you buy it, or you'll be tempted to fill it and get in, which wihtout a shock dose of chlorine will make the water go cloudy in a few days. The kit has test strips, PH + and - Chlorine and Algaecide, and is about £38 off ebay. Also, get a few spare filters, about a £4 each of the bay. It means you can swap them out each day quickly, and then wash and dry the old one at your leisure.
Not sure if it is true but I read running one at 38 degrees is like running a 70W lightbulb all the time in summer. (I do that also!)!
