Hi, I am purchasing a house that currently is not connected to the gas main. It has the main pipework but no meter, what are the cost's I am looking at to get connected and what's the process.
It shouldn't be much at all, if anything. Call up some gas suppliers and haggle on price and whoever you want to go with will arrange to get a meter fitted. Unless things have changed recently.
I was in the same situation and called round a couple of gas suppliers to get quotes for connection. I signed up with British Gas, meter install and connection was free.
