Hi guys,

Need some help here regarding tenancy agreements through letting agents.

My x partner has rented her first house with my daughter, is a pretty decent place but in a town centre.

Now, she has been in the property 3 days, the first night there were people fighting with bottles and knifes outside the window, second night there was an assault on the street next to hers. Tonight after returning home she parked the car up locked it an proceeded to the apartment where she turned around and saw a man walk towards the car and try drivers side and passenger side doors and sit down on the wall next to the car on his phone.

Naturally she phoned me and i went down to let him know the car was off guards.

My question is are there any cooling off periods associated with tenancy agreements or rights to end agreement early for another property with the agent?

Understandably yes she maybe should have researched the area better as more often than not it's ok, but i'm not having her or my child exposed to any risk whatsoever so i want her out.

Grateful for any advice guys (sensible please, no keyboard warriors)

She really needs to look at the agreement but I doubt there is a cooling off period!

They've not yet posted out he contract as she still needs to go through the snag list etc to agree on the condtion of the flat. This makes me think she could say it's unsuitable and move to another place on offer with them easier due to the series of events over last few days.
