Security Installers - SLA Battery for Alarm Panel

I need to replace the battery in the Alarm Panel.

I have found what I need (7.0Ah 12V), but the picture shows the battery terminals with a female connector on them suggesting that the tails in the panel should be a male spade type. I've searched a few & they all seem the same.

The existing battery has male spade type & the tails are female.

Is this the norm? Am I gonna have to cut the tails & crimp new terminals?

The female looking connector on that picture is just a removabe plastic guard for the terminals - fitten in shipping to keep the terminals protected - the battery will have male Spade terminals (all the ones I ever saw did)...
