First things I've grown for about 35 years:

Pikced the first of my Jalapenos today. I bought a grwoing kit in a bag from our local warehouse clearance discount shed and followed the instructions.

This is the result. Reasonably hot, but nice flavour too.



They are about 2 inches long. I know they're not much but I'm a little proud of the achievement.

Anyone else grown anything this year?

Crossed fingers for our crop of tomatoes; they're only in a pot on our terrace and it's seemingly a harsh environment (everything dies).

I've just picked a bowl of ripe tomatoes from the greenhouse for a salad (having gobbled lots while picking since I just can't resist them).

My vine has one small bunch of grapes, enough to make 0.3cm3 of wine!
