I'm shopping for an electric oven and Beko keep popping up as doing ovens that tick the boxes (grill/fan assisted oven, LED display with timer) but for about £20-30 less than the Indesit/Hotpoint offerings. I'm not going to be living in this house forever and just want something that'll last for a few years - if we were staying longer term I'd look to shell out a bit more.

Does anyone have any experience of the Beko stuff - is it fairly reliable and fit for purpose? Or should I look at spending a few quid extra on something like a Hotpoint/Zanussi product?

I'm not sure who makes Beko, though I think it's on the same production line as one of the "big" names.

Isnt Beko one of the sheds own brands ?

I was looking at replacing our 20 year old Zanussi earlier this year, but I gave up as the quality of what was available was very poor.

I wasnt even that impressed with the likes of Smeg either tbh.

As long as you don't mind seeing 'BEKO' every time you use the oven, carry on smile

Beko is owned by a huge Turkish company called Arcelik.
Their own stuff is good value but they also manufactuer Howden Joinery's own brand.
Pretty decent designs and great spec so well worth a look.

Evidently the Turks have a sense of humour!

I don't know about the ovens, but Beko fridges are pretty low quality - lots of labs used to buy them (I worked for a monitoring company for a while), and they didn't last very long.

I've also got a (pretty new) Beko washing machine that came with the flat - slowest bloody washing machine I've ever used...

I wouldn't recommend them...
