Restoring an old bit of wood - worth it? Tips and Tricks..?
Discussion
Hi all
Whilst moving in to our new place, we found a number of builder's items in the back yard, as you always seem to
Anyway, I found a massive length of scaffolding wood, one of those supporting planks I think. So, in a moment of Hugh Fernley-Wittingstall inspired madness, I suggested to the other half that we restore it, and use it as a windowsill. (in a cunning 'earth-look' offset to the starkly new kitchen...) (Hey, it seemed like a plan at the time
)
Unfortunately I haven't a clue of how to do this - at the moment it's got a few dents, and in covered in dust and bits of hardened mortar!
Any thoughts? (or should we just bin it - seems a shame though!)
