Just looking at buying all the sockets/switches for my kitchen.

Do the appliances need to be on a 13A switched & fused spur, or is a 20A DP switch sufficient?

They're all on 13A plugs into unswitched sockets behind the appliance, these are just the isolators at worktop height.

A DP switch will be fine. I'd only use a fused spur if the appliance cable was hard wired into the circuit (so there was no fused plug).

Few places we've worked on use the MK Grid system for all kitchen appliances mounted in a cupboard back.

Neat and keeps the walls clear.

Thanks, the DP switches seem quite a bit cheaper!

In hindsight wish I'd gone for the grid system, I tried to re-use as much of the original cabling as possible, now it looks like it would have been worth the extra effort.
