Hi,

Moved into a new flat a few months ago only to be greeted with something like this in the bathroom:

It's a pain in the ass to use (adjusting the temperature is very tricky...it's either too hot or too cold and takes a lot of fiddling to get it correct).

So what can I replace it with? At the moment the tap just runs using a combi boiler so there is no actual plumbing for a shower in place.

I don't want to spend a fortune (because the place is rented) so what are my options?

All I'm looking for is easier temperature control with minimal additional plumbing work.

Thanks in advance for any help smile

You can get thermostatic bath taps/shower mixer. Will make temperature selection much easier.

^^^ This.

With a combi, thermostatic is what you need. Far better regulation of temperature.

Best of luck getting the old ones off though, let alone fitting the new ones.

Space will be very tight.
