Tonight, this took pride of place in my living room.

I just need a few felt pads for the underside, then the cardboard can go.

Have a 5 Cyl Volvo block in my garage, not sure yet if it can be transformed into a satisfactory piece of living room furniture......

Touchy subject - I've been teetotal for 14 years!

I can't claim credit for the build though, when the OH left it was an almost immediate search on ebay. cool

Looks great smile

I'm planning to do the same with the knackered old Rover V8 that's in bits in my garage. That photo gives me something to aim for!

Surprisingly, my wife's quite keen on the idea of a V8 coffee table, so hopefully it will take pride of place in the extension we're currently planning.

Nice.
Reminds me of someone i once knew whose kids used to sit and watch the TV in drag slicks instead of bean bags

No problem, shove in eight bottles of Evian and you've got an environmentally-friendly V8 biggrin

Tap water would be more enviromently friendly.

I have a 4.6 block in the valet bay at work getting cleaned up for just the same thing.

Any car pieces that people know of in the same style that could be used as wall decoration etc...

Seen clocks with brake discs.

Actually, got an old brake disc lying about somewhere...
