Hi guys

My sister's house was broken into last night - scumbags took a lot of sentimental and valuable stuff unfortunately frown

There is a concern the thieves will come back to finish the job (they didn't take aywhere near as much stuff as they could have done - thoughts are that they were disturbed) and one thing the police commented on, was that their windows are single glazed and therefore a weak point in the house security.

However, they live in a conservation area (in London), and she is sure they aren't allowed double glazing although they would be allowed metal gates - not lovely on all your ground floor windows.

Does anybody know of any ways to secure single glazed windows, without resorting to bars and that prison feeling frown

Sorry to hear of your sisters burglary. There are such products as a security window film that might help with single-pane windows. Clicky
