Hello

Any good web sites for a whole host of kitchen appliances.
Need two fridge freezers, a range cooker and extractor fan plus a washing machine

Many thanks

McEvoy and Rowley don't have prices on their website but gave us a very good price, it's a tiny little business in Maidenhead Berkshire but they've been around for a long time (40 years apparently, I just checked) and the service was very good. 01628 779 022.

PS: No connection, I just like to recommend businesses when they do a good job.

I recently contacted a few online appliance suppliers and got good prices compared to retail. I then contacted my local indepedent kitchen supplier as there was one appliance I couldn't get anywhere else. I told then I was probably going to get the rest of my appliances online but they offered to match my best price for the full package.

Lesson is: Online isn't always cheaper - you should try any local independent kitchen companies first, you may be surprised.

I've found this more and more lately. I just redid our kitchen this year and got different local firms to provide the granite worktops, the kitchen cabinets and associated fixings, floor tiles, roman blinds and even the new dinning table and chairs. They all matched or in some cases exceeded what discount I expected to get by buying online. I seem to spend half my life on the web, but sometimes you can beat a bit of face to face haggling. smile

EDIT: Mc Envoy and Rowley also have a shop in Woodley too if it's closer.

Agreed; I went to a local Siemens showroom/supplier and they said they'd beat the internet by 5%. And they did, plus free delivery.

Me too - got a list of the very lowest prices I could find and challenged my kitchen company - they got the order and I didn't have to mess around with separate suppliers.

They also have better product knowledge, which is handy if you get problems with installation or operation. One of the things I bought from them was an ex-demo integrated washing machine and I found the hinges were missing. Later that day the chap arrived on my doorstep with replacements smile
