Black phone cable?

I need to connect a SKY TV box so it can connect to the phoneline without having messy cables running around the room.

I want some black phone cable, but B and Q and the like only seem to sell it in white?

I intend to run the cable around the outside of the house with the existing black sky cables so it will all look ok.

I bought some on amazon but its not what I was expecting, its some very thin copper strands and its 4 way.

Where can I get black outdoor phone cable?

i have no idea what the pairs will mean in reality.

edit - just seen you are in southampton - they have a branch there as well, right next to the northam bridge.

find yourself an openreach van and ask very nicely ! it usually works on me ,that 2nd cable is 5pr underground grease filled, not really the stuff you want the black internal will be fine and will last for years outside .

If it only has 4 core then it will still have enough to run for the Sky box (and most easy domestic phone applications) Just use it.

Picked up a load todat and did the line move.

All fixed.


TLC were very good, lots of other stuff there too.
