Looking for 1/4" square adapter to take hex screwdriver bits
Discussion
Went to Halfords today to buy a 1/2" socket set that was on special offer. While there I saw a bargain on a 1/4" set - reduced from £40 to £15 normally, but it had 3 parts missing, so it was for sale at £10.
Impulse buy, even though I knew 3 parts were missing - thinking I could replace them easily. 2 missing pieces are easy to find - hex driver bits with Allen key ends.
The part I'm struggling to find is the female 1/4" square to hex bit holder adapter - so that you can use the screwdriver bits on the driver shaft supplied, as well as the 1/4" ratchet driver.
Anyone know of a supplier?
Ta Bradders.

Nice one - the F-F looks just the job. What did you Google to find it, if you don't mind me asking. Not managed to get that result after several attempts!!Cheers Bradders
Edit : Blast, the F-F is not in stock!!

No I think you have understood correctly.
It's probably not a long term solution but would work as a "get out of jail card" One way of holding the bit into the 6mm socket would be to rub a magnet up and down on to the socket. The socket would then become magnetised and would hold the bit in place. (as long as the bit was Ferrous)

Thanks, but the results all seem to be socket and driver sets - I only needed the Bit adapter - found as above on ebay. Ta Bradders.
