Following on from this http://pistonheads.com/xforums/topic.asp?h=0&f... thread, I need to use a cherrypicker to access my chimney.

I am hoping to get this done free (can pull it from another job...) but if not I'll have to pay for one!

It needs to access the chimney which is approx 9-10m high. I would only need it for one day. Can anyone give me a very rough cost ?

Thanks.

Our next door neighbours had a towable Nifty 14m for a week at £400, so a day rate would be £80-120 at a guess.

Not much at all, I would have thought.
Room in the garden shed at night, 50p a day, and as many cherries as he can eat.

It'll be delivery and collection charges that hurt, rather than the day rate.

Expect to pay something around £50 - £80 each way, depending on the size of the kit / wagon needed to deliver it.

Also some hire companies won't get it off the wagon until you've shown them your ticket / IPAF or PAL licence for that specific type of kit.

You may be better off getting a truck mount (depending on access), where they turn up, pitch, you get in the basket and go up, while their operator does the controls. Ideal for short duration works.
