Does she share a bed with anyone? They do double ones with each side having its own controls!

I used to have mine plugged into a timer so it was on when I was heading to bed and I couldn't forget to switch it off.

I've always preferred a hotwater bottle, two on really cold nights, if I get too warm I just kick it out of bed.

I went to a 999 job the other evening where a couple had put their electric blanket on 30 mins before going to bed, they were just about to go upstairs when they smelt burning. He went upstairs to find the bed alight and with this his electric blanket exploded causing him to sustain burns to his face and hands and the whole of his upstairs was gutted by fire and smoke damage. Fire brigade were there within minutes as they lived less than 1 mile from the station.

The blanket was approx 3 years old. I think there is a reason the fire brigade hate them so much and round here have a huge campaign every year to get them checked. Half hour later and they would both be in bed, I doubt they would survive.
