As per thread title really.

Out the front of my house there is a large Oak tree, every year we can fill bags and bags full of acorns, this year none. Today my parents visited and I mentioned this to them, they also noted a lack of acorns, we took a walk out this afternoon to a wooded area, again plenty Oak trees but no acorns!

I'm not complaining lol, just curious!

I only mentioned to the family last week that there seems to be a bumper crop this year , larger than normal acorns too !

Badgers love them .

Cupramax, thanks for the offer but I'll decline lol!

My Dad found a couple while we were out but they were kind of malformed, very small. Kind of wondering if it's a local thing, I'm in the south east? Also the tree seems to be losing its leaves earlier, is normally around December time that they fall!

Most of them seem to be in the back of the LR Defender I just inherited as a family of squirrels have been living in the headlining for 8 years... Furry little gits. Mind you they have taste as it is a V8... if only they hadn't chewed through the wiring too...

In my daughter's school bag! When I emptied it at the begining of the holidays I found quite a horde of acorns in there!

Probably a regional thing, I'm in E.Anglia and we don't have many this year, less conkers too.
