So, my 20+ year old New Team power shower pump has decided to start leaking and I cannot get any parts to rebuild so I need to replace. Only problem is no spec appears on teh unit so I'm struggling to decide what I need to get equivalent flow/power...

Single mixer directly below where pump lives, pump fed by gravity from hot water cylinder and from cold water tank (I think) with positive head (pump sits on same level as base of HW cyl and below cold water tank. Is 1.5 bar enough to give a good forceful flow or would 2 bar be better? Any specific products that have the PH seal of approval (I want 20 years life mind)? smile

We've had a 1.5 bar Stuart Turner serving our en-suite for 15 years - never had to touch it, and good, although not exceptional, pressure but good flow rate. Have just installed 2 bar ST pump in bathroom in extension - bought it on-line (HIE from memory) and it was just a few pounds mmore expensive than a 1.5 - seems great. Prices were comparable with the likes of New Team and Salamander at Screwfix etc..

I've had a 3-bar twin Stuart Turner pump for around 8 years now, it can run our two Grohe showers simultaneously with good pressure and flow, through 22mm pipework. It's nicely made, quiet, all the important bits are made of brass. 100% recommended.

Thanks, just acquired a nice shiny ST 2bar jobbie. Does look very well made and am actually looking forward to commissioning it (hate plumbing jobs) smile
