cheapest gas method

is it cheaper to just run the gas sh whilst we are in ie 6 till about 9.30 morning and then 5 till 10.30
or would it be cheaper to run all day on low setting

Depends on how much you are paying for gas and how well you are insulated. I would imagine that it would be cheaper to lift the temp a few extra degrees before you come home than to keep it up all day. Also, if its on low, would it not get 'boosted' anyway? We certainly notice the difference on the bill if we are at home for a few days with the heatIng on all day rather than doing the 5-8am and 6-12pm times.
