Fridge problems ...
Discussion
finally moved my Bosch fridge back into the kitchen after the new floor was layed on Saturday. But now pools of water keep collecting under the left hand side of the fridge. Other than a blocked drainage hole, any ideas ?
The drainage hole leads to a tray at the back this sits on top of the refrigerating unit (?), this tray then seems to have an over flow tube to feed another tray under the fridge, which seems to be broken. Not sure what is supposed to happen to water that makes it onto this tray as the tray can't be removed (or I am being to gentle).
Is the refrigerant liquid or Gas ? I had assumed \ hoped it was water leaking out and nothing worse.
any advice ?
thanks

Can't offer any help but ours does exactly the same (and has done for years) and sounds the same as yours underneath. I have had it all out and cleaned the trays and connecting pipes but it still does it. Normally only does it in the summer when the conservatory can heat up the kitchen so the fridge is working harder.
Think it's just a design flaw in the drainage and as for your other question, ours is definitely water given how long it's been doing it.

thanks, it does seem to be badly designed. The drainage tube lines up perfectly with the clip that holds the drip tray onto the refrigeration unit, so the water by passes the tray instead goint through the clip opening and runs straight down the back of the unit.

The water evaporates when it is in the tray(s). If a part of the overlow is broken then that is where the water is leaking from.

thanks
let us know the model number and I will see what I can do.
. Mine's a KSR3000GB. The tray on top of the compressor usually has water in it. Have never seen water in the bottom tray but if I fill the top one enough it does overflow into it.Gassing Station | Homes, Gardens and DIY | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
