Any experts on here can advise which is better, self coloured or painted render, and if there is a price difference? Meeting with the builder later this week and would be useful to understand this beforehand. Any suggestions for links appreciated too.

K-Render. Prices vary depending on location etc, but low £30/M2 is a very rough guide.

Unfortunately you didn't answer either of my questions!

K-Render & Weber amongst others is far superior to traditional sand & cement renders therefore costs are higher.
At the moment the construction industry is all over the place regarding prices, it really does depend where you are and how keen the spreads are pricing up jobs. You could post back here re your meeting with the builder. Only downside with silicone based renders is it cant be patched in any sense.
