Hotpoint Ultima w/m gone wonky.

Does anyone know anything about washing machines? Mrs plumbers Hotpoint Ultima WT761 does not switch to spin on any cycle, she has to wait for it to stop and turn it to spin manually.

I suspect the PCB but they are about £100 to buy, any ideas people?

I do know that the machine has to 'know' it's drained fully before spinning. Check for a blockage on the bit that tells it if it is empty.

Check drain at front (or possibly hidden at the back), usually full of coins and muck
