Right, new house is bloody freezing - left heating on all day and can't get living space above 15 degrees C - not good when you've got 2 kids under 3 years old!

Looking at installing a wood burner, but can anyone recommend a good wood supplier local(ish) to Llandudno? There seem to be plenty about, but I want quality seasoned wood for this winter, and will take anything else I can get as I have room to store for next year and beyond.

Thanks, GR

Have you thought about getting a multifuel stove?

The smokeless fuels are cheaper and last longer but take a while to get going whereas wood is a quick hot flame (ideal for getting the fire started).

There's some good topics and good advice floating around here if you have a search.

Just had a wood burning stove fitted, and while I hunted around for decent wood locally I bought some of this stuff which is available nationwide from fire shops and country stores: http://www.certainlywood.co.uk/nearest-retailer/gw...

£5 for a plastic sack of £15 top quality logs (my stove is tiny so this lasts a while) - or it's cheaper if you buy in bulk etc...
