I have a Prima LPR601 Dish Washer that was put in 13 months ago when we had a new kitchen. Last week said dish washer packs up, it starts runs for 3-4 mins then beeps to say cycle has finished and then stops. So not wanting the hassle of speaking to the company who installed the kitchen I get a local man to come and have a look.

He says the motor wont turn and a new one will be £200! Or if I want he can take it out and have a look as something might have got stuck in it. So out it comes and he frees it up and gets it working (although he cant see why it was so stiff and not turning). Its back in and the dish washer and working fine but could pack up again in 24 hours or 5 years!

Now the reason for this post is my other half still wants me to phone the kitchen company and complain. I'm not too keen as I just dont see that I'll get anything out of it. Ill tell them it broke down its now fixed, and then what??

Get your wallet, phone, and get down the pub and don't come back until she's agreed to stop nagging!

On a serious note;

Good news; "Warranty & Guarantee: All Prima appliances are covered by a 2 year warranty which is free when the warranty card has been completed and returned to us within 30 days of purchase"

http://www.3pinsappliance.com/cgi-bin/productUserS...

Bad news;
As your man has messed with it I'm guessing it's voided the warranty. frown

I'd suggest you stay down the pub.

I'd say that the warranty card is not needed - SOGA and that. As long as you can prove when it was bought, should be no problem getting it fixed if it breaks again.

You did return the card. It's hardly your fault that either Royal Mail or the manufacturer lost it.

I think those cards are just for gathering consumer info so they can sell your details knowing that you buy certain items.
