I'm staying in a serviced apartment down south for a couple of weeks for work, and it appears some numbskull came in today and turned off all the storage heaters.

What's the quickest way to get some heat out of the things? I'm bloody freezing.

Whack the input AND output up to max?

(and then turn the output down to 1 before I go to work in the morning?)

If it's on a economy 7 circuit it won't get power until around 1 in the morning. They are not designed for heating on demand.

Some models have top up from day tariff but don't forget to turn that off once heated of it will get expensive.

Input to max and output to max will give you a hot morning but cold evening (even if you turn it down to output 1 as it won't start reheating until 1 in the morning)

Ok, so I should stick the output down tonight and man-up for this evening?

(No idea if it's economy 7, though - there's no meter in the flat, so I suspect it's in a locked box outside, thus I can't see if it's an old or new one)
