Rather than one of those Cast Iron / Pot Chimney things, I was thinking of having a wood burning stove on my decking. Something along these lines...

My thought was that I could use it to warm area and also to heat up a pan or kettle on the top of the stove rather than simply use it to generate heat / warmth.

Has anyone any experience of this or any suggestions for something similar?

Cheers. BB.

Cast iron rusts so it could be problematic.

My Chimnea is cast iron also and that seems to 'weather' ok.

Suppose it depends on the model and how sturdy the hinges, latchs, etc. are. Best avoid anything that has essential parts that could easily rust and become unoperational.

Only problem I had with one was the flu part rotting out rather than the body ,that was easy enough to get replaced though smile
