Skirting board heating

Hi, I am currently doing up my house room by room.

I have the various brands of skirtingboard heating that plumb into the CH and replace the conventional radiators.

Has anyone experience installing and using this for day to day heating?
Is it any good and worth while or whats the verdict?

I looked into this a couple of years ago.

The main advantage is they use aluminium extrusions which are a better conductor of heat - combined with them being at floor level means you could use lower temperature water. However this would only be of real benefit if you wanted to use a hot water heat pump as the energy source.

The big disadvantage was the price.

I have two Smith's hydronic units in my kitchen. Very good at heating up a space quickly but they're quite demanding of the CH circuit.

Are those things for under kitchen units only?

I've only ever taken it out! I've only seen it run at 'radiator-type' temperatures, it's just a very small, long radiator after all. It can be difficult to bleed and messes with furniture positioning. Not good.
