Moving to the States - recommend me a removals company

A friend is moving to the States - San Diego early next year. She has to ship bag all clothes, personal items but no furniture etc. Its nothing major in terms of quantity.

Best quote she has had so far is £2000 which seems ultra excessive.

Can anyone recommend a good removals company that will ship for less?

Not sure on cost but I have a few family members who moved to the USA few years back and the cheapest option was by using a shipping container.

That's quite a lot with no furniture.

We used Luker Bros from Oxford, if you are local to there. Was paid for by my wife's work, but they were very good, we also used them for our house move back here too.

Robinsons International without question.
We use them all the time for bits and bobs.
( Chances are Lukers are buying space from Robinsons anyway. Cheaper to cut the middle man. )
