Is 300sq metres a big/small/average building plot?

We're buying some land here in the Philippines and I'm wondering if it is 'average' size, and what sort of house we can throw up on it.

What is the average land size in the UK, as I don't recall it ever being mentioned on the paperworks you see when buying a house?

Are there any websites where we can see house plans, with dimensions, get an idea of what the layout is?

I want a garage about 5 x 8 metres, and three bedrooms. And I guess a kitchen would be of use.

Pretty much exactly.

Which means it would be cramped, particularly given your garage requirements.
