I'm struggling to find somewhere to get some new boxes. everywhere I used to know, in and around north east London either doesn't sell them any more or has no stock, and when they do have them in they are expensive enough to appear on antiques roadshow!

Anyone heard of or come accross a cheap supplier?

I looked there initially but they all have buy it now prices about the same as the shops.

Perhaps I'm chasing something that no longer exists, cheap ammo boxes!

What do you use them for out of interest?

One has my socket set in it, gathered over many years, but it needs a bigger one now. Another has spanners, a third has screwdrivers.

Want one for a jigsaw and another for a drill.

Brilliant things!

I find getting ammo from Russia is the best thing now, the problem is none of it's compatible with my gatling gun so I've had to stick to the AK47 for a while.

I miss the days when I could loose off a few hundreds round without a care in the world - but times change and you are right, it's pretty thin on the ground now. Some mail order places you don't even need to order a full box - they just price by the round which make you think - maybe just a decent automatic would be cheaper or even an antique revolver.
