AAAAAAAggghhhhhhhhhhh – There is more to this then meets the eye….

We are currently starting to think about transforming room by room in our house which we bought last July, which die to business commitments and the lack of a 35 hour day means we moved in and haven’t touched anything on the magnolia throughout walls, which the previous owners were oh so happy with. Shame they couldn’t spare some of the mortgage money they weren’t paying to put towards up keep!!

We have decided to do a room at a time, and replace all the furniture, and the majority of electronic goods, as we both moved from separate houses so have a miss match of furniture, some good, some bad and some darn right ugly!!

Having spent the afternoon in the Next Home shop in Hull it seems that some of their furniture and curtains etc fit the bill,

Has anyone any experience of the quality of goods / vfm ? (I am a Yorkshire man after all…)

I’ve actually drawn out a scale of the first room for the chop, the living room, and have started to plan how and what should go where…. As we are planning on doing it in one swoop (anyone any good pointers..) so floor, walls, curtains, lighting, furniture, TV & Audio, or is it best to do it one piece at a time ?

If anyone has any other ideas regarding who to go to, advice and ideas I (we..) would be more than grateful

Actually I have a similar dilemma - are there any interior designers here who can take a brief rather than trot out whatever happens to be in fashion?

we were using our own taste, but are employing a 2scrap book2 of ideas, with notes etc from various catalogues, and magazines. seems to be workign so far.... i think.

Ps the lighting looks amazing, althought I was only getting two modern type Chandeliers
