Hello, can anyone offer some advcie on wallpapering? Not how to hang it, but where.

In the lounge I want to paper two walls, the paper has a busy pattern and contrasts with the (magnolia) wall paint. The question is, should I only do one wall? Whenever I have seen rooms with paper and paint it has only been a single wall that's papered. Would it look weird that I papered two walls? The second wall has a window and french doors in it so I dont think it will be too overbearing, do you?

Ta, M

Would think it would look ok as long as it was opposite walls that you were doing. I've used wallpaper as borders, used 2 papers ( 3 strips of one then 2 strips of the other one )
Think it all depends on colour and room size if the room can handle it.

Hmmm, they are adjacent walls not opposite. But the room is a good size.

If it was me, I'd paint it.

Thats what I wanted to do, but I was overruled by the domestic management.

Tell her you are putting down a 'base coat' to 'stabilise' the wall, then just never quite get around to papering it.. sorted biggrin
