Evening practical PHers. Electric fan oven, four gas hobs on top. I have one hob of the four which has just suddenly developed a problem, whereby max flame setting on hob control only produces around half of normal max flame. All other hobs are fine and dandy so it doesn't look like a drop in pressure. Flame is blue as ever.

I take it the jet needs cleaning, how easy is this to do for the DIYer? Am handy with spanners and know how to turn the gas off, it looks like a small socket holding the jet in place but I'm reluctant to go fannying about with gas until I've consulted more experienced people.

Many thanks.

Ok, not to worry. Used an old soft tootbrush to gently clean the top of the jet, all working again now.

As you were! smile
