I've tried pressure washing our conservatory which has got it clean, but there is still the greeny algae residue which has discoloured the white UPVC over time.

Any tips on what I can use to get it REALLY clean again??

Thanks!

Cif. Honestly that is what some UPVC cleaners basically are.

There are also solvent based ones which are good but also pretty volatile and toxic. Try some white Cif. Don't use the coloured ones as they might taint the plastic.

I used Everbuild PVCU solvent cleaner on my window frame last year - it works really well, but the fumes are very strong

This ^^, after buying and using several "special upvc cleaners" most of them are just basically the same as Cif. Used Cif plenty of times and works perfectly well. Always test a small area that's out of sight first just to be sure but as I say never had a problem with it.

For really ingrained dirt a fine car body rubbing compound on a damp cloth works well, just keep it off the gaskets as it lifts the black and smears onto the white frames!

i would swear that 'upvc cleaner' is brasso, it smells the same and looks the same.

Will have to try some cif next time.

My Dad uses Brasso on his uPVC and they look mint.

Another vote for Cif. It's effectively T-Cut.
