I'm working on some cctv equipment. Can anyone tell me the type of connector I need to connect to the green socket on this controller ?. I have a pin out diagram for the wiring but I need to find a plug. It's an RS485 communication port

The whole socket is approx 16mm x 8mm and the pins are less than 2mm thick.

Plug in terminal blocks. RS (Radio Spares) sell them. We use the same design at work but with more pins and I'm sure we get them from RS but couldn't find a part number. If it is any use, Cisco use them to power some of their products as well.

When it comes to connectors - nomenclature is everything !

Thanks to you both I've found them here at my local branch.

I call them Phoenix connectors. There are different sizes so beware.

Thanks for the kind offer Chris, but as I pass within a mile of CPC twice a week, I can easily call at the trade counter. If I take the above kit with me I can make sure I've got the right size before I leave. I only need a couple so £2 won't break the bank biggrin
