Simple Network Intercom

I have an internal network in my property which runs on CAT5e cable.

I have a spare network points by the front door, perfect I think for an intercom system on the front door (little pinhole camera on the bell push etc). Tried wireless ones and they simply won’t work due to inference – lots of internal metal work in the property.

I’m wondering if anyone knows of a simple intercom system that can operate over the network – I’ve had a look with little success.

I've looking for one of those too but they tend to be heavy duty, industrial style for commercial buildings, factories etc and also bloody expensive.
