Using fence spikes for 6 foot fence
Discussion
Average suburban house with narrowish garden. I'm looking to replace the fence and would like to use 750mm spikes with a 6 foot fence:

Is it going to be strong enough with spikes or do I have no choice but to cement the fence?
Anyone put up a 6 foot fence with spikes that's still standing true?

Just to ressurect this thread I am im a similar situation but with a much smaller fence.
Probably about 3 foot high and 'picket' style (I.E wind can pass through)
I was going to use spikes but not sure now, what do you think?
For a 3 foot picket I would use wooden posts concreted in. Will last a long time especially if you paint bitumen where it meets the dirt. It needs to look nice as well with it being a picket. IMHO the stakes suck. Good for a quick fix if selling that's all.Probably about 3 foot high and 'picket' style (I.E wind can pass through)
