We have a cast iron soil stack, just come home and the top section has come away from the wall, basically the pegs have pulled out of the wooden wall plugs.

Windy as hell out there, but I managed to get up a ladder and tie it back to a steel gutter bracket,so now it's sat at a crazy angle in the socket until I get some help to put it back upright.

Question is does the stack have to be higher than the roofline,I see that most do so,but looking at the house below that has a pipe about 3 foot higher than the where the loo enters with a mesh guard on top.

If I could reduce the height this would obviously take a lot of the weight off.

Poor picture bacause of the darkness.

It will be fine exactly as it is.

Just fit 2 clips in place of the broken single one and it'll "be reet".

And take those Christmas lights down, it's past 12 days from Christmas! :-) That's giving you bad luck, which is why your SVP fell off! (maybe!)
