Roofing - GRP valley to gutter - fascia cutouts?
Discussion
So I'm doing a roof valley, it's a standard 30degree roof, marley ludlow plus tiles, GRP valley. Just behind the fascia I have a double run of battens to create a 50mm lift, to give a zero sprocket to the edge tiles.
The valley boards are 12.5mm marine ply to be set between the joists and flush with the tops of the rafters, all the way along. The valleys are toward the end of a gutter run, so the gutter will be lower as it passes, the highest point of the gutter will be about 8m away. After the valley the downpipe is about 2m away.
So the question is: do I (a) cut the fascia down by 25mm and bend the valley (and miss the GRP with the edge tile's batten), or do I (b) keep the valley straight (resting on the valley boards/rafter level all the way to the fascia) and cut the fascia down 50mm?
I can see (b) would work best but the gutter will need to be 50mm below the general fascia line at this point (i.e. just tucked under the GRP valley that is 50mm down) - is that Ok?

I can find the cross sectional diagrams (as usual - they seem to be everywhere!) but no detail about the fascia depth options.. - is there a particular place that should be on the site?I'm thinking I'll try at 25mm up and see where the gutter ends up, and then cut down to 50mm (flat to valley boards all the way to the edge) if there is space to do so.
