I have a reasonably new Miele fridge (2 years old), seems to run fine... But occasionally, like tonight, it's frozen some drinks (fruit juices and some beers). The beer bottles have cracked open.

I have a thermometer in there reading +5, but clearly it's sometimes going a bit bonkers.

Any thoughts?

Isn't Miele stuff guaranteed for 5/10 yesrs? Give them a call.

I know there's an issue with one of their freezers going down to -30C but not heard of fridge problems.

It's a Miele. It can't possibly be wrong. The freezing point of water must have changed silly

Someone has replaced the alcohol in the beer with water...

Or more likely left the door open slightly.

In their defence they didnt make it.....

NTC or PCB failure/intermittent failure/bad connections on PCB. (assuming its some electronic controlled version) Whatever, being a Miele it wont be cheap....check your warranty options first. They now offer a £199 all in repair service inc a years warranty on the rest of the appliance. Either that or take a chance on a standard repair but if its the pcb the cost will be horrendous.
If its a more basic thermostat controlled version then the stat could be at fault, still will be £80 odd for the part from Miele.
