new veg plot & greenhouse - what do i do first?
Discussion
Autumn last year and i've put up an 8x8 glass greenhouse and created a veg plot approx 25ft long by 10ft wide.
So, as my first foray into veggie plots - what do I do first? I've heard I should be digging in manure now - is that right and does it matter what type of manure?
any tips for a newbie? what seeds should I look for, etc - want to grow typical family veg like potatoes, leeks, onions, leeks, carrots, lettuces, perhaps some peppers, etc - basically have a go at anything as the kids love it when they can see it grown
Thanks in advance for any tips/advice you can give

One nice thing about gardening is that it doesn't change. No iGarden, no software updates, no digital.
So you can buy a nice book like www.amazon.co.uk/Gardener-shows-flowers-fruit-vege... and whilst not 2011, everything is as true now as it was

Manure is over rated. Not bad when it has been well rotted and allowed to heat up sufficiently to kill disease pathogens and pernicious weed seeds. The best thing anyone who is just starting a new plot can do is to dig in as much proper peat and good compost as they can afford. This will be the rock that the foundations of your success are built upon. Do it now before it is banned.
