PH Plumbers - quotation question for rad replacements
Discussion
Our new house has a rather inadequate central heating system currently, 80s single panel rads that are very hot but don't radiate heat, a single rad in a large lounge that barely heats the area it's in let alone the lounge as a whole etc. As such I got a quote from a local company to install a new rad (K2 600 x 600) in the lounge, running piping down from upstairs, replace the existing lounge rad with a K2 (1100 x 600) and to replace the 2 main bedroom rads (K1 1200 x 600 & K1 1400 x 600). The 3 to be replaced are pretty much straight fits so no new pipework will be required, the quote includes the cost to drain, refill & inhibit the system. The price is £1,110 inc VAT - my question basically is whether this is a good price or a little costly? I know the aforementioned rads would cost around £250 for Myson units plus the cost of the thermo valves which leaves around £800 for the labour and sundries which seems a lot for a days work.
