Big Job little job

What started as an idea to sort out my 6 x 4 metre home office looks like it should be in Grand Designs.
'A bit of a tidy up' now involves shutting for 3 weeks and a joiner, a decorator, a sparky, a plumber and gas fitter, a HETAS guy making a fire for the salvaged fireplace ( thus a salvage man), a floor sander, a damp-proofer-plasterer, a stone mason and a bloke who takes rubbish away.

It's amazing how these things can snowball, isn't it. 'Tis like the purchase of a new flat-screened TV; deciding to mount it on the wall rather than on a dedicated stand. Then comes the 'deciding the cables will look unsightly, so will have to be buried in the wall' fiasco. Of course, then the wall will have to be redecorated but, that will never match the rest of the paintwork so, complete redecoration is now the order of the day.Of course, once the freshly painted room finally drys, it becomes apparent that the accompanied furnishings are not in harmony, or looking a tad shabby and, will have to be replaced.
There's no stopping the momentum of that snowball.

Do we get pictures (lots) of your project?
