New kitchen, Before / During / After
Discussion
Some pics of my recent new kitchen installation, just incase anyone is interested (or bored)
The first pics showing the "old" kitchen were taken with a fisheye lense so look a bit wonky but gove a decent idea of the room shape.
All these old units(6 years old) were carefully removed and all refitted into a laundry room which was done at the same time.

The plan was to remove the bit of partition wall and create one large farmhouse type kitchen with oak units, doors and window frames plus saphire brown granite worktops, upstands and window ledges with a belfast sink. The ceiling was lowered to allow down lighters to be fitted, a false chimney breast was built to suit the Rangemaster Elan 110 induction oven (to replace the oil guzzling rayburn). Flooring was to be Karndean. Dishwasher, fridge and freezer were all integrated and built in.

An intersting find under the floor boards. Empty tho

And a lot of dismantling to let 4 guys move it

Typical days work

End result:

The window areas.

All in all, very happy with it. Mrs R has put everything in cupboards and drawers so I have no idea where anything is.

Out of interest why did you dump the AGA and did you sell it on?
Hi,It was an oil fired Rayburn Royale. Looked great but was mega expensive to run.
I kept an eye on eBay for 4-6 weeks or so before the new kitchen was due to arrive to see whether there was much of a 2nd hand market but any that were selling (most didn't) seemed to go for very little. I put an ad in the local paper and also got no reply. In the end we gave most of the "bits" (doors, burner, seals etc) to a neighbour in one of the cottages. The rest of it was dumped.

Just was interested as I was told the used value had collapsed somewhat as they are out of vogue due to high CO2.
