Can you search by Google Map on the Land Registry website?

Not quite, but go to www.landregistry.gov.uk, click on the 'Find a property' tab and there's an option to do a map search, you'll need a postcode or adjacent street name, this will then bring up a map or aerial photo and you can search for registered land or properties within the photo.

Got it now - thanks.

Map search could keep me entertained for hours.

Think I'll click on some of the shadow cabinet's houses and see what they paid for them.

Property is theft comrade - unless it's my property of course.

You planning to buy it for a pitch & putt? Zooming out it looks as if there's one golf club for every 20 houses.

Others got here before me smile

One thing I will say is that I expect that the owners will have had more than a few enquires about that plot before now. I suspect it might also be subject to more than a few TPOs as well.

From zooming in on Street Map looks like someone's already building on the plot.
